SIMSY Launches Cellular Private LAN: Private Mobile Networks from Developer to Enterprise

Private mobile networks over cellular infrastructure without VPN tunnels, fixed-line dependencies, or public internet exposure

Starting from just £20 with a Developer Starter Pack, available immediately via the SIMSY website

SIMSY today announces the launch of Cellular Private LAN, a SIM-to-SIM connectivity solution that enables organisations of any size to create private mobile networks over cellular infrastructure; without VPN tunnels, fixed-line dependencies, or public internet exposure.

Starting from just £20 with a Developer Starter Pack, the service is available immediately via the SIMSY website, with full API access and self-service provisioning from day one.

Private networking, reimagined for cellular

Cellular Private LAN works by connecting two or more SIMSY SIMs into an isolated private network at the carrier level. Every SIM in a group is assigned a private IP address and can communicate directly with every other SIM in that group. Traffic between devices never traverses the public internet—it is routed entirely within SIMSY's core network infrastructure.

For developers and small teams, this means spinning up a secure, isolated network in minutes. Order SIMs, activate through the portal, insert into devices, and they can talk to each other immediately. No firewall rules, no VPN configuration, no network engineering required.

But the developer experience is only the entry point.

Built for enterprise-scale private networks

The same SIM-to-SIM technology that powers a two-device developer setup scales directly into enterprise-grade private network deployments. Cellular Private LAN is built on SIMSY's programmable network core, which supports private data breakout, advanced traffic routing, and policy-driven security controls at scale.

For enterprise customers, this unlocks capabilities that traditionally required dedicated MPLS circuits, private APN agreements with mobile operators, or complex SD-WAN infrastructure:

Private data breakout allows organisations to route cellular traffic directly to their own infrastructure—such as cloud VPCs, on-premise data centres, or edge computing clusters—without that traffic ever touching the public internet. This is the same architecture that powers private 5G networks, delivered over SIMSY's multi-network SIM platform without the need to deploy or manage radio infrastructure.

Advanced cyber security protections are applied at the network level, not bolted on as an afterthought. SIMSY's security framework includes real-time threat detection, automated policy enforcement, traffic anomaly monitoring, and configurable access controls. Enterprises can define granular rules governing which devices can communicate, which external endpoints are reachable, and how traffic is inspected—and all managed through SIMSY's API or portal.

Network segmentation through SIMSY's advanced grouping means organisations can create multiple isolated private LANs across different departments, sites, or use cases, all managed under a single account. Each group maintains complete traffic isolation from every other group, providing defence-in-depth without infrastructure duplication.

This positions Cellular Private LAN not just as a connectivity product, but as a managed private network service that scales from a pair of developer SIMs to thousands of enterprise endpoints—all with the same underlying architecture throughout.

Developer packs available now

To make the technology immediately accessible, SIMSY has launched a range of self-service packages:

The Developer Starter Pack at £20 includes two SIMs (physical or eSIM), £20 of pre-pay credit on the Melita tariff, a full portal account with API key generation, and access to SIMSY's complete API for programmatic network management. Additional SIMs can be added to any private LAN at any time.

Larger packs are available for teams and enterprise pilots, alongside hardware bundles featuring industrial cellular routers pre-configured for private LAN deployment—with URL locking, IP whitelisting, and edge computing capability.

Every pack includes the same enterprise-grade network infrastructure. The difference between a developer testing with two SIMs and an enterprise running a nationwide private network is scale, not architecture.

Why this matters now

The timing of Cellular Private LAN reflects two converging trends.

First, the rapid growth of agentic AI and autonomous systems is creating urgent demand for secure, isolated connectivity at the edge. AI agents deployed on edge servers, industrial IoT sensors operating in sensitive environments, and distributed computing workloads all require private networking that is simple to provision and impossible to intercept from the public internet. Cellular Private LAN delivers exactly this.

Second, enterprises are increasingly looking to replace legacy private network infrastructure—such as MPLS, leased lines, complex VPN topologies—with more agile, software-defined alternatives. SIMSY's approach offers the security guarantees of a dedicated private network with the flexibility and cost profile of a managed cellular service.

No capital expenditure on infrastructure. No multi-year contracts. No telco engineering.

What comes next

Cellular Private LAN is the first in a series of managed network solutions from SIMSY, each built on the same programmable core. Upcoming releases will include enhanced webhook and event-driven networking capabilities, open-source developer tooling, and expanded hardware partnerships.

Enterprise customers requiring custom private network architectures, dedicated data breakout configurations, or bespoke security policies are invited to contact SIMSY directly to discuss tailored deployments.

"Cellular Private LAN is SIMSY doing what we set out to do—making sophisticated mobile networking accessible to everyone, from a solo developer building their first connected prototype to an enterprise securing thousands of edge devices. The technology is identical at every scale. We've just removed every barrier to getting started."
