What is an MCP Server?

"MCP is an open protocol that standardizes how applications provide context to LLMs. Think of MCP like a USB-C port for AI applications. Just as USB-C provides a standardized way to connect your devices to various peripherals and accessories, MCP provides a standardized way to connect AI models to different data sources and tools." Why have SIMSY built an MCP Server?

At SIMSY we are on a mission to simplify telecoms and make it easy to manage and integrate your applications into the mobile network.

An MCP server enables our customers to utilise advanced features and functions from our mobile network without needing to be telecoms experts and understand technical jargon. Also it allows developers to use our network directly within the development tools they know best.

How does an MCP Server work with AI Agents?

Because the MCP protocol was designed for AI, it enables AI agents to talk directly to MCP servers. This makes it simple to integrate MCP based services into automations and tools such as customer service agents, security and monitoring tools as well as advanced analytics.
